Books have long been among humanity's greatest inventions. They allow us to inhabit unfamiliar lives, traverse distant cultures, and engage with ideas that outlive their authors. This blog is my humble attempt to understand that vast world of literature and to share the joy of reading with fellow book lovers.

I have been an avid reader for many years, drawn especially to literary fiction, world literature, history, philosophy, and works that illuminate the complexities of the human condition. Much like cinema, literature has expanded my understanding of people, memory, loss, love, and the strange contradictions that shape our lives.

The books discussed here come from different traditions and languages. From Japanese literature to Latin American fiction, from contemporary novels to timeless classics, I seek works that challenge, provoke, and endure.

Passion for Books features reviews, essays, reflections, and reading lists written from the perspective of a curious reader rather than an academic specialist. My goal is not to offer definitive judgments but to engage with books thoughtfully and invite conversation.

I also run Movie Retrospect, a blog devoted to cinema, and currently serve as Chief Editor at High on Films, where I continue to write and edit film criticism.
